Madeleine Byrne is far more complex than vexed X-Men.

Zeroh’s latest song ,“Bang Babies” resembles a guy holding forth on a barstool. The intense stream of consciousness is strongly felt, if not entirely clear. What comes through is the intense emotion behind Zeroh’s words.

“Bang Babies” begins with a sound that resembles a breath cut short. Towards the end, a vocal sample is heard as Zeroh’s monologue reaches its slurred pitch. When asked by Passion of the Weiss how the new single fits in with his previous work, Zeroh shared that “it’s dark in hue, but not in substance,” though he was reticent to develop this more.

As for whether or not the song is a teaser for a future LP on Leaving Records, the so-called “polymathematician stealth shaman” would only say that “people should wait and see,” writing that “I don’t want to give too much away.” He added, “it’s been fun and cathartic working on it. Feels like I’m sewing up a wound tryna finish it, a few more features that I feel it truly needs, some glaze and it’ll be a wrap.”

In August, Leaving put out Zeroh’s O EMISSIONS. The Bandcamp reissue description states that they were “grateful to unearth this 51-track experimentation” and that they hope to soon release a new LP from the Long Beach producer/MC.
