Regardless of your propensity towards being bad or good, Jake One and Mayer Hawthorne don’t judge. The power couple also known as Tuxedo is playing Santa by sharing a little holiday cheer in the form of some downloadable love. Here’s their take on the Sir Paul classic, “Wonderful Christmas.”
For a duo so entrenched in the disco sound, there probably isn’t a better track for the boys to pay homage to (though I suppose Donna Summer’s “Winter Melody” probably would have worked, too). The boys up the synths to just below yacht-acceptable levels, and the payoff is just as groovy as you’d expect. This might just be the year you leave the ugly Xmas sweaters in the closet and ensconce yourself in something a bit more formal. This Christmas, stay classy, people.
