Chris Daly created “Green Eyed Soul” with producer Erick Sermon

Doctor Deen already hipped you cats to the melodious, R&B/pop goodness that is Tuxedo. To briefly recap, it’s the alleged side project of Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One, it’s blue eyed soul mixed with some funky goodness, and if nothing else, their music is bound to make you shake your rump with a passion not often seen outside of Soul Train line dance. I say “alleged” because their first outing dropped with no fanfare and the simple message, “Tuxedo is here! Stay classy.” While the duo dropped that first EP way back in March of 2013, the boys are back with their first video, this one for “Do It.”

Following a parking valet (played by Isaac Tualaulelei) that clearly has so much groove it’s just got to get out, the world has not been treated to a man of this caliber shaking what his mama gave him quite this well since Rerun destroyed the Gong Show on that one episode of What’s Happening. The unnamed valet is parking rides for dancers auditioning for the “Do It’ video, but the jam overtakes him, he transforms Clark Kent-like into a dance machine, and it’s just a party from there on out. I probably should warn you not to blast this jam anywhere that a spontaneous dance party is not acceptable because tracks like this were created for that purpose and that purpose alone.

Tuxedo is expected to release their follow-up sometime in 2015. Until then, you know what to do.
