This mix is in continuation of a series I started on my old website a few years back. The series was initially designed to share my latest finds in the electronic and hip-hop genres with friends old and new. Three years after moving away from my hometown, I felt it’d be a good way to keep in touch with certain people and continue the lineage of CD-R mixes I made throughout high school and college.
I didn’t particularly expect it to help earn me any new friends, but after I took down the site in 2012, people started emailing me from places as far away as France and Australia requesting new mixes. Now, with a much more efficient platform here at Passion of the Weiss, I will be continuing the series with a new edition dropping around halfway through each month. Share it with friends, family, co-workers, pets, whomever you feel appropriate. I hope you enjoy it.
