This feels like if Neneh Cherry decided to make an album with Nicolas Jaar rather than Four Tet. This is beautiful and dramatic (said with the extra emphasis that you call only get from the DJ drop on a Drama mixtape). As you might expect, there are bodies whirling, rain dropping, panties in the shower, mountains for no reason, pained scrunch faced vocals and writhing. Lots of writhing, which is what you get when you have a falsetto that can leave a Gibb brother shaking in their bell-bottoms.
For added humor, try muting this and writing out thought bubbles for what actually is going on in each scene. Or just close your eyes and listen to this song and realize that no amount of glib jokes can diminish how gorgeous it is.
Aaron Frank interviewed Inc a while back if you’re so inclined to learn more about the duo.
