No, this song isn’t about Drake. Dam-Funk dropped it on the unsuspecting Internet masses five days ago in typically understated fashion. Since I haven’t seen it posted elsewhere and I bear the cross for all things funky, here’s this outtake from the classic Toeachizown. Classic as defined by a record that maintains staying power two years after its release and has had a calculable influence on the music world. Dam’s debut qualifies on both fronts. Maybe they’ll see the light of day sometime in the future, within the development & the coming retrospecting of this particular ‘Modern-Funk’ era..& then, into it’s continuing further progression.
