Evan Nabavian also enjoys the cinematic stylings of “A Low Down Dirty Shame.”

The best application of Auto-Tune is pervy crooning on rap hooks. On “Ain’t No Way Around It,” Future raps in an obscene moan which is somehow okay for a hard-boiled trap rapper because of the robotic veneer of Auto-Tune. Future says absolutely nothing on the hook (it’s actually kind of impressive how empty it is) and tells of a groupie’s transgressions on his verse. It’s like “Sally Got a One Track Mind” but with a high five instead of moral significance. If the “singing” offends your rap sensibilities, cleanse yourself with Future’s faux Cuban accent on “Tony Montana.”

But Future’s hype and traction afforded him Big Boi and Young Jeezy for the remix, both of whom are respectable upstanding gentlemen compared to Future. Big Boi fills the spaces in the 808-synth beat with a flow as great as ever. He indulges in some Auto-Tune himself, but only for his dirtiest lines. Jeezy drops a competent verse too and thankfully avoids an Auto-Tune solo that would probably tear a hole in the universe. “Ain’t No Way Around It” is enjoyable, but only the remix and only if you have no shame.
