MTV approval means far less than it did during the days of Devo, but there is something very heartening about seeing Freddie Gibbs premiere a video on the ancestral home of Yo! MTV Raps. If I hadn’t already made it abundantly clear, Gibbs headlines tomorrow night’s Passion of the Weiss Presents show. Spaceland is not exactly “The Ghetto,” but hopefully it will suffice.
