PUSHA-x-KENDRICK-575x575The king of coke rappers meets the most sober rapper from the Ronald Reagan era. Boogie Down Productions samples and bongo drums and a whole lot of drug talk. The guitars straight from “D.O.A” straight from Janko Nilovic. Pusha remains “puntastic,” flashing his one Zoolander-like look (“White Steel”). But he sounds rejuvenated through his hatred of Wayne and the benefits of good A&Ring. Kendrick is the best rapper when he doesn’t appropriate Em’s “DAD STOP SCREAMING AT ME” voice.  But I am not sure why there are dead instrumentals at his mother’s Christmas party. Have fun for once, man. It’s Christmas. There is nothing wrong with swimming pools full of egg nog. Whatever nog is.
