I’d like to think this photo accurately captures my feeling when Roc Marciano agreed to be the guest on the latest episode of Shots Fired. As you have probably read 73 times on this site, we are all fans of the honorable Hempstead rapper who treats Lamborghinis like bumper cars. For this episode we discussed his early years on Strong Isle, working with Pete Rock, his collaborations with Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, and GZA, and producing his entire upcoming album “Marci Beaucoup.” Plus, a random discussion about the Death Row incident at the 1995 Source Awards and its aftermath.

There is also a random aside on the art of pimping. As one would expect.

In a random self-promotional aside, this website is a finalist for LA’s Best Music Blog, 2013. Vote for us or I will turn it into a Macklemore Fan Tumblr. If you don’t act now, this could be our future.

Good talk.
