On one hand, the rap song named after the famous person meme has been dead since Lil B made “Charlie Sheen.” On the other hand, Nacho Picasso opens “Dean Martin” with a clip from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure and spends the entirety of the video dressed up in a gray suit and bowtie. Don’t ask me how Paul Reubens correlates to Dino, but I applaud the perverse logic. Video directed by Gator Vision. Premiere a la the strength of the Gorilla. Songs are taken from Nacho’s Black Narcissus mixtape, which you can stream below the jump.

I love the beat on ‘Dean Martin’, the Cam’ron influence is all over Nacho in the same way the Critical Beatdown era Kool Keith influence is all over Roc Marciano.
A big difference i find is that Nacho doesn’t have the really dumb punchlines that Cam had at his peak rediculous and werid but not dumb (then again i could be wrong)

The shame about Nacho is his flow (while initially engaging) never changes enough for one song to sound different from another.

I believe that people that like Nacho Picasso but hate on lil Wayne are hypocrites. From what I’ve heard neither one of them is out to make a song that you connect with on a personal level (at least not anymore). If you believe one is greater than the other then you’re caught up in the hype machine.
