I imagine that there is a 19-year old reading this blog who only knows Redman and Method Man from their How High shenanigans. This mix is for you. Mister Cee dropping some old-head knowledge in the form of a 60-plus minute mix of the best of the best of Johnny Blaze and the Funk Docta Spock. It starts with “The Riddler,” segues into “The What” and bleeds into “Break Ups 2 Make Ups.” Over a decade later, I believe Tical 2000 is finally starting to click for me. If these two aren’t in your top 20 rappers of all-time, you need to make a new list. I don’t care if Method Man doesn’t have a “classic” (even though I will ride for Blackout and Tical as evidence that he does). At his peak, he might have been the greatest I’ve ever heard at the art of rapping. See also: “NYC Everything.” Or also, this mix.

SHiiett these 2 lyrical masterminds are part of the golden age. Meth and Red have some of the best flows in the game period. Yes, they did do some funny ish movie wise but still got skills to peel dudes caps.
Still bump Whut thee album – straight up class

Props for the “NYC Everything” reference. Top 5 verse from Mef along with “The What” (all verses), “Shadowboxin’” (2nd verse), “Wu-Gambinos,” and “Shaolin What.”
