The word rumbling around Low End Theory last year was that Flying Lotus and Empress Badu were recording a joint album. That explained the DJ sets in Lincoln Heights, the public Tweeting, and the trail of pixie dust that briefly lingered in the Airliner after she graced the club.

Recently, Lotus revealed that the songs they recorded amounted to scarcely more than sketches. The most fully formed was “See Thru To U,” which feels vaporous in its own right. Consider that the THC float and the ethereal nature of neo-soul flower power. I’m not sure if Thundercat is on the bass, but it slaps like it. Song after the jump, alongside of a PDF of how to play the harp. Don’t say I never do anything for you.
