Oh you mad bitch cuz Sach O‘s laying on the couch.
I’ve been trying to figure out what to write about this video for a few days now but frankly, all analysis is useless. It’s a video for a song called “Bitch Suck Dick”: you already know if you’ll like this or not. For what it’s worth, I recorded something similar back in highschool over the Oochy Wally instrumental that got me a one-day suspension and a long-winded lecture on “using rap to make a difference” from my English teacher – so I consider it cosmic schadenfreude that something this retarded can actually get half a million views in under a week 10 years later. Blowing up Waka/Big Tymers tropes without descending into the wink-wink nudge-nudge irony that rap-outsiders require in order to enjoy stuff like this (Hey Spank Rock: you suck); the comedy lies in slight exaggeration rather than a willful attempt at parody. These kids are in on the joke: actual rap music is way funnier than any comedy-rap not made by the Lonely Island and if you’re going to record a big stupid rap song, there’s no need to hide behind “based” pseudo-positivity or PC Williamsburg-rap bullshit. If you don’t see what they’re doing, you were probably one of the kids who thought The Diplomats weren’t aware of how funny they were in their prime.

Or maybe shit just ain’t funny whether irony, parody or otherwise. Tina perm ur weave deserved a video not this bad recycle of the same idea.

I enjoyed it greatly. I grew up w/ underground 3/6, much more vulgar, no attempt at humor – absolute seriousness. So I got what they were going for and like it. Laughed at several points in the video. Helps that I like the lil OF movement, things like this keep you youthful, folks, it’s alright to like it.

That’s what annoys me about these guys. Tongue in cheek hipsters, who always have the worst beats, and when the music is lacking they get away with it because they’re just fooling around. I get it, but it doesn’t make their tracks any less annoying. Rather hear ‘hard in the paint’ from someone who doesn’t have to hide behind irony or some Lonely Island folk who don’t try to pretend they’re down.

I’m mostly just tired of Tyler. The Waka Flocka influence seems more genuine way on the MellowHype tape. I find Left Brains production grates on me less in the long run as well.
