I'd pretty much agree with the placement of reflection eternal in the list but I'd also like to add that it's got to to be the best produced album by one producer of the decade. It really does sound like as if Hi-Tek had in a way started working on that album from when he first began producing and he was like "I'm gonna save all my best samples/ ideas as I go along until I find the perfect MC to work with"... or something. It just kind of seemed as though after that album his production lacked the level of like true school sample-based sophistication it had on Reflection eternal.

These write-up are impeccable, especially the CanOX and Ghost ones. I slept on "The Cold Vein" for 4 years until putting it on some big headphones in pitch dark at 2am and it fully started to sink in beyond an extant love for "The F-Word"

So the consensus here seems to be that only a dozen or so rappers in the past 10 years have made really good albums. Is this really the case? The thing is a I find a lot on the list agreeable, but it looks like Doom is going to be on this list like 5 times, (if you think Geedorah and Madvillian are in the top 10, I do) if this is the case, these past 10 years have been a desolate wasteland for rap.

yeah, fun or not (don't think that word really applies to the Clipse) i don't think "Lord Willin'" really holds up besides "Grindin'" and "Cot Damn." a lot of it's the weak drums but those 'Tunes beats're real stale. think they really came into their own as a production team in '02 and that album is only a small part why. their "softbatch" more melodic pop needs to get more love i tell ya

glad to see 'Ye so high. album blew me away first time i heard it, and it's still pretty great

so I just listened to Stillmatic and Little Brothers The Listening (I was one the few, the proud, the 30K) for the first time in ages and I feel that if they both made the list that Nas Untitled and Minstel Show absolutly must be in the top ten. If not, I fear I must poop in someone's cereal bowl.

That's either a fail on Amazon's part or a testament to the awesome weirdness of this list.
