I created a list of 100 albums a while ago on Amazon. It has some similarities to your list. I tend to like indie hip hop more than mainstream.

Definitely have to agree that The B. Coming should have been on this list. That album is epic.

How could you have entirely missed People Under the Stairs? Several albums much better than a majority of material on this list. Pathetic.

Having slept on this, there are some serious ommissions here, and some that aren't even in the should have been included list, this includes underground or sleeper albums, and some UK albums that in fairness beat the crap out of a lot of the dross on this USAbias list. Such as

Panacea - The Scenic Route
Black Milk - Popular Demand
Dizzee Rascal - Boy In Da Corner
Roots Manuva - Awfully Deep or Slime & Reason
EMC - The Show
People Under The Stairs - Stepfather
Mark B & Blade - The Unknown (One of the UKs greatest EVER LPs, let alone just the 00s)
Klashnekoff - Tussle With The Beast
DJ Shadow - The Private Press
Jurrasic 5 - Quality Control
Jehst - Return of the drifter (One of the top all time uk lps ever)
Dilated Peoples - The Platform
Edan - Primitive Plus

The list goes on, but these are truly criminal ommissions. You cannot even justify it by saying "well they aren't heard of in theUS" because how many people truly took influence from Aesop Rock/Wale/Blu.

Rant over, you can't please everyone.

Very incomplete as you said, indeed. Not surprised by the poll results, typical trends. Maybe I miss them, but I was a bit shocked that Dilated Peoples or Dead Prez wasn't listed...
