More Champagne, Mr. 4-Tay?

Because I had another spasm of unadulterated West Coast 90s sentimentalism last night, and few songs elicit more memories than “Playaz Club.” The ideal soundtrack for both champagne brunch and pimping in the Fillmore District. If the Players Club Card had swapped Telly Savalas for Anthony Forte, you would still be able to get 25 percent discounts on surf and turf dinners in Tahoe.

Nice…. Anybody know what sample he used?

“Private Number” by William Bell and Judy Clay.

Takes me back to middle school. Kinda crazy how most docs on 90′s rap make it seem like death row was the only west coast rap around. Thank god for my brother and brother-in law. I got a heavy dose of bay rap.
