That said, I can see them getting trapped by the gaudiness of their live show down if Kevin Barnes can't move past electro-pop. Sex and cynicism aren't his strong suits. Jones is indeed a Citroen eating madwoman, and if you say that you enjoy her work the hipsters tend to laugh so hard they split their jeans. Regardless, she's produced some quality stuff, and I had the pleasure of reviewing Hurricane early this year and it was a very solid album (for a 60-year-old). Great write-up Jeff.
