Regardless of superfluous meteorology,  the new Weathermen cut, “Reports of a Possible Kidnapping,” is anything but. With Aesop Rock, El-P, and Cage together on the track, consider this both penance for the long-awaited, never-released Weathermen album (and Depart From Me, the less of which is said, the better).

The second leak off Definitive Jux Vol. 4., “Reports” doubles as the first single for The New Left, which is either the name of the much bruited-about Weathermen full-length or an exploratory PAC for another Arianna Huffington Gubernatorial bid. It won’t win over the unconverted, but if you like your rap music with a side of shrapnel, you’ll enjoy. Also for the four Aesop Rock fans that read this blog, his guest spot from the new Awol One album.
