If music criticism could be reduced to inequalities and simple equations, it'd be way less full of shit (although we would miss out on a handful of sharp insights). For example, The Supremes, Beach Boys, Beatles, Elvis >>>> Michael Jackson. But, Michael Jackson >>>>> all pop artists still alive and productively active today.
