Who, exactly, does the reviewer play Lil Jon records for? Non-poseurs? Musicians like Jah Wobble and Jon Hassell were able to borrow heavily from non-Western cultures, but without the by-now painfully predictable accusations of colonialism or amateur hour insincerity. Is it because they're "hipster douchebags" (i.e., get laid more often/go to less- boring parties than the reviewer) that he takes issue with Major Lazer? As far as wanting to punch the people in the room who like this record, please consider therapy or visiting a massage parlor that offers prostate relief, and read up on Freud's idea of the narcissism of minor difference.
