Not that I'd go so far as to say it's boring but whether or not the listener is willing to invest the time and effort to wrap his head around the record is a personal choice and complaining about that is akin to Emerson Lake and Palmer fans castigating philistines for not appreciating the subtlety of prog. Grizzly Bear stretch out and whether that's a virtue or not depends on the listener. Personally I'm a 3-minute single guy whether we're talking The Beatles, The Sex Pistols, The Roses or NMH, I'll play Darkside of the Moon or Hot Buttered Soul all the way through but those records GRAB you. Vektramist has some clingy moments but I'm yet to be grabbed. Although I'm willing to continue giving it a weekly listen.
