We'll probably throw up a ZIP at the end--if you can't wait, I'm pretty sure Hip Hop is Read has it available right now.

This is the kind of production deconstruction nerdery I can get behind. Hearing that Lonnie Liston Smith cut for the first time and picking out the exact piano notes used for "Dead Presidents II" is the kind of thing I geek out over, big time. Hopefully you'll be able to shed some light on where those strings in "Bring It On" came from.

a great breakdown so far. I know what you mean about the complexities of politics as usual. It's one of my favorite cuts off of RD so I decided to redo the beat. Even with new tech its a bit tricky, which really shows the talent ski and the rest of the producers for RD possess.

Scott: It probably took you about 10 seconds to write your worthless comment. It probably took Dan 10 hours to write a thorough analysis of an album that many people deeply venerate.

That means he willingly forsook actual real-life responsibilities, and used his limited free time to construct something that will hopefully allow for a better understanding of a great work of art. He didn't do this for money, nor for attention, but instead, did it as a labor of love. Maybe your minimal mind can't grasp that sort of thing--I'm not sure.

Your comment is pointless. You aren't adding anything of merit to the discussion, this blog, or really anything in general. I'd appreciate if you'd stop commenting. I neither want nor need readers like you. There's a long blogroll to the right, find one you like more, or at least, go play in traffic.
