"What does is that Busta and Rae have recovered the hunger that abandoned them sometime around the time the Republicans captured Congress."

You know, I never thought about how the peak of 90s rap coincided with the Gingrich Revolution. One could actually make a somewhat nonfrivolous argument that Republican rule is good for rap - though not, of course, for rappers, or the demographics that tend to produce good rappers.

"I have no idea. Judging from my limited interactions with him, Bishop is definitely not a liar. If he says he wasn’t dropped, and the Aftermath blog confirms it, then I see no reason not to believe it. I really should get to the bottom of this."

That Quik and Kurupt is smooth.
What is the situation with Bishop anyway? I wouldn't be surprised if he was dropped, given Dre's history with promising younger cats. But there hasn't been a single credible source cited in all of this rumour-mongering.
Aftermath's site says otherwise:

It's definitely been a minute. Maybe sometime around 05-06?

Breaks my heart everytime I listen to Tame One. He's probably the most talented cat from the indie boom era never to break out and become as big as he should've been, though The Leak Brothers album is still incredible.

And Kurupt is quickly becoming my favorite west coast MC again.

"It’s not hyperbole to suggest that Flu have a Madvillain or Deltron in them."

If this were made official, it'd leap to the top of my most-anticipated list. Blu's oozing potential and works with ok-to-great beatmakers but Fly lo's album crafting abilities and unique sound is just what he needs to leap-frog to the top of the new rapper rankings imo. Apocalypse-raptronica is a better plan than rock guitars anyway.
