The former came off as really pollished at the time but really, it's got a lot of rugged aspects and relatively dirty beats, a couple of smooth singles aside. Doggystyle though...probably the best pop-rap album of all time. The whole Bad Boy sound came out of that record. Although The Shiznit is still an incredible show of rapping. In retrospect The Chronic and Doggystyle are a lot more different than they were first made out to be.
