Continuing his quest to be the greatest Mayer since Lansky (and perhaps Oscar), Mayer Hawthorne sat in with Benji B of BBC 1Xtra last week, revealing a number of new tracks from his forthcoming Stones Throw release: “Maybe So, Maybe No”, “I Wish It Would Rain”, “Green Eyed Love”, “Love’s Alright.”  The MP3 is below–you’ll have to sift through some annoying radio chatter, but Hawthorne’s gorgeous, vintage Motown soul makes it worthwhile.  His debut drops this summer, and has to rank among this year’s most anticipated.
