What I Talk About When I Talk About Hotsteppin’
Sometimes, you’re in a foul mood, and think, you know what would make me feel better: “‘Here Comes the Hotstepper.” This is the one of the more profound self-realizations I’ve learned in my 27 years of existence. It’s only other competition is “never trust a man with a mustache,” and “never eat at Denny’s and party like Lil’ Penny.” The moral of this story is that Ini Kamoze’s “Here Comes the Hotstepper” is supremely undervalued. Pret a Porter, on the other hand, is not. Question for the day: What’s the initiation ritual like to become a lyrical gangster?

Good call Jeff. Was watching this video a few weeks back with the homies. I failed the lyrical gangster placement exam back in ‘94, unable to repeat saba-gweat-may ten times fast with precise pronunciation.
