The Kills-”Black Balloon” Video
Cursory observations from The Kills’ new video:
a) Is it just me or has Allison Mosshart become a rich man’s Meg White?
b) Hotel is becoming more Doherty-esque by the day. Say what you want about Kate Moss, at least she has a type.
c) Marlboro Menthols? Really? If you’re treading down the path of mint-laced refreshment, the wise move is to either keep it grizzly and smoke Newports, or opt for the voice-box, old lady, Benson & Hedges route. The monocle-sporting, Nat Sherman bent is also PotW approved.
The Black Balloon EP comes out next month and I’m amped for the duo’s Coachella date. There’s also an international tour this spring–dates below the jump.

Ah yes, The Kills.
They’re great and often forgotten in these down under parts.
I must say that I probably had a bit of a crush on Mosshart for a while, which leads your contention that she should perhaps be smoking B & H Menthols to make me feel more than a little nauseous.
I have an ancient aunt (no blood relation, I’d like to make clear) who is 85, has hair down to her backside, big false nails and smokes a pack of B & H menthol a day. Alison she ain’t.
Now every time I see the saucy Mosshart, I am instead going to think of the scaly Aunty Diz. Thanks Jeff. Thanks heaps.

Oh I’m sure she did at some point, and in relation to the vid, I think she’s probably a vampire too - she’s been 85 for about 20 years.

their spring tour is going to be OUT OF CONTROL!!! Washington DC is going to be amazing I hope to see some real fans come out!
