The inability people have to differentiate between something like Emcees Act Like They Don't Know and some sanctimonious nerd lecturing his vastly more gifted competition on what they should and shouldn't be rapping about during a recession (has the guy never heard of ESCAPISM) never ceases to amaze me. Like I acknowledge Chuck D's point that you posted the other day about Ross, obviously unintelligent crack rap isn't the best thing for kids from certain backgrounds to be listening to, but if someone's actually going to make that point, it ought to be someone like Trick Daddy, not a total interloper to the culture. Who out there both listens to Ross and a Twin Cities albino, however Monch-like his flow may be? It's just this silly game where message board fanatics who've never actually listened to a Ross album, but know the name and a couple singles and think he's simply destroying hip-hop, hear the line and celebrate over another witty little subliminal from "Brother" Ali, while those who actually care about Ross, you know, the impressionable little southern minds whom Ali's ostensibly worried about, never hear the song. Totally pointless.
