Lupe's a really dope emcee but he sabotaged himself by changing the album after the leak and relying on those overly dramatic beats. Looking back, Ghostface came strong twice, as did the Roots and the Clipse (while not living up to the HUGE hype) were dope too. I also personally liked The Game, Rick Ross, E-40 and The Team's albums as well. But in general...Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Mobb Deep, Cam'Ron, Ice Cube, DMX, Outkast, Ludacris, Xzibit, Fat Joe, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def and Styles P all dropped weak albums. That's a generation's worth of rappers catching L's to me. Hell Nas did too although his message resonated with fans.
