Special track created by Aesop for the extremely talented Jeremy Fish’s Ghost of the Barbary Coast exhibit, now playing at Gallery 50/24 SF in San Francisco. I haven’t had time to unpack the lyrics, but presumably they parallel the subject matter of the exhibit: “a depiction of the post-goldrush slum that was S.F.’s Barbary Coast, and the violence, gangs, and prostitution that overran much of what is now Fisherman’s Wharf and North Beach.”
Dropping just in time to mess with my best song’s of the year list.
