Q-Tip ft. Camp Lo-”Gettin’ Up Remix”
I ignored the “Gettin’ Up” remix featuring Eve because well, it’s an Eve song in the year 2008 and that fact seems explanation enough. Naturally, I couldn’t apply the same logic to the subsequent Apple Juice Kid remix featuring the legendary, Camp Lo, who I can continue to ride for since they sagaciously switched back to their original name (after an ill-fated experiment with “The Lo.”)
I’ve always been slightly more partial to Sonny Cheeba but Geechie Suede kills it here, with a slick, sybaritic strut about “tiger-skin sofas, charms on chokers, love the way the lemonade lemon lay on the loafers/after 7, still drinking happy hour/pineapple apple martini/apple sour.” Let’s just focus on the alliteration at hand and try to ignore the fact that he’s openly admitting to swilling apple martinis. Who knew that Camp Lo were huge Sex and the City fans?

If John Dorian can pull Elliot, Heather Graham, Christa Miller, Tera Reid, Elizabeth Banks and have a cool black guy be his best friend than I think it’ perfectly acceptable to drink apple martinis.

Actually come to think of it, somebody needs to do an expose on the inexplicabe nature of the quality of tail that Zach Braff pulls on Scrubs. It’s not just that he’s butt ass ugly but it’s the fact that he’s whiny and aggresively weird. I’m whiny and aggressively weird and the day I hook up with Heather Graham is the day hell froze over. I don’t care if I ever become a doctor and my best friend is a cool black guy named Turk. That’s not happening.

Well not to hate on Camp Lo in the slightest but there have been rumors going around about their “apple martini drinking” behavior (if you catch my drift) since the 90’s.
