I felt like AC was psychedelically, if not pharmaceutically, acceptable. I think I liked it.

I actually mumble Nas' name in my sleep every night before I go to sleep. It's a soothing mantra.

And please, it was Hipstock.

Sigh. Even at Weenie-Fest '08, you can't keep Nasir's name out of your mouth. This is too easy.

sebadoh's an uneven band with multiple songwriters. so even though i really like several of lou barlow's songs on bubble and scape, i didn't like jason lowenstein's songs (though he got a lot better) or eric gaffney's songs. i would much rather see bakesale in its entirety, or even better, lou barlow's greatest hits.

with the exception of maybe Caribou, the line-up is about as un-friendly to psychedelics as you’ll find at any extant American music festival.

Spiritualized?

Also, sorry we couldn't talk more -- my overall beat-to-shit feeling (the longest streak of uninterrupted sleep I've had since Wednesday was something like four hours) and the fact that I got caught up in some kind of hectic game of social pachinko conspired against that.

nixon: i have fingers and toes crossed about a husker du reunion, but i'm quite sure it'll be when snowballs start flying in hell.

weiss: i love how this post turned from super-aggro to "fuck, public enemy are great." as for sebadoh, i heard they were lackluster at pitchfork, but i should make you a sebadoh mix, because they're pretty fucking great.

After reading that report, I'm happy to have caught highlights on Pitchfork's media player instead of going to the festival.
