Jens is amazing. Went though a period where I obsessed over his song “Your Arms Around Me.” He’s sense of melody kills me. You nailed his humor perfectly.

I love this guy so much. You’ve perfectly summed up his appeal in just a few paragraphs. Well done.
Whenever people tell me they don’t like or “get” Jens, I’m utterly baffled.
Jens also sent me a really sweet response to a complimentary email I sent him, so he’s in my good books for life.

word, flood. i hear a lot of magnetic fields as well, in both sound and wryness. however, i do have to say that the affability is his strong suit, something that neither morrissey nor merritt do very well, or, for that matter, even attempt.

oh, mr. weiss; being mean and funny is your greatest contribution to society. haha.

I don’t hear Morrissey so much as Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields. Almost uncanny, actually.
