you’re right. my friend, whose severe lack of knowledge caused her to think coldplay is an “indie” band, went to their show the last time they were out here, and told me about black mountain, who she figured i already knew about and liked.

she was right.

DM: Agree 100 percent. Though I think BM went on tour with Coldplay at one pt so maybe there is hope.

Flood: It’s funny, I had that same thought when I turned to the Mountain CD in the first place. It was the heaviest thing I had in the car at the time.

in a perfect world, black mountain would be as big as zeppelin was, and bands like nickelback would be playing the hillbilly tavern full of grizzled alcoholics down the street from my house.

well, maybe it’s better that nickelback isn’t playing that close to my living quarters, but you get the point.
