May God Strike Me If He Don’t Like Me
It’s a full-time job just trying to keep up with all the rap records that leaked over the past week. I mean, The Wu, Scarface, Beanie Sigel, Styles P and now Ghost. Fuck. It’s a lot to handle. It’s enough to make a blogger want to call his local herbal dispensary to re-up for the winter.
In the meantime, I’m through a first few cursory listens of The Big Dough Rehab and I’m really liking what I’m hearing. I’m not sure how good it is yet, and I’ll save the hyperbole for the inevitable full review (I’m actually trying to exercise a bit of restraint this year…I know….I know…how un-bloggerly of me). But “Yolanda’s House” featuring Meth and Rae is currently floating it’s way around the web and if you haven’t heard it yet, you should. It’s pretty great. Though I’m still not sure if it can top Pharoahe Monch’s “Never Walk Again,” which rocks that same sample. Discuss.

I’m a little biased since I’m a Ghost fan as well, but Yolanda’s House may be the best song I’ve heard this year. I don’t think that you’ll get many accusations of hyperbole this time around. This is a certified banger.

I’m about 3/4 through the cd, and it’s a pretty fuckin g album so far..may I say, best since Supreme Clientele? I can if I want. Maybe I’m just really blazed, but this shit is outrageously soulful, ill shit..

I paused to take in the Scarface and Styles P albums. That was dumb. I’ll leave this on repeat until I’m done with my finals. Yeah, this shits on Fishscale, so that would make it his best since Supreme Clientele and I’m pretty sober for this reading stuff.
Can’t wait to hand my money over.

Yo brah, you almost made me spit my beer on the screen cuz I thought it said Ghost and Monch on the same track. I gotta go with Ghost though if I had to pick between the two. One.

Been a while, I see you redid the site. Good look.
I wanted to not like a Ghostface record and not be such a blogger stereotype but it’s pretty good.
I like it a lot. And the Wu songs on Ghost have a lot more of a Wu Tang feel than the garbage on the Wu Tang album.
