And while I’m here, might as well add this anecdote:

A friend of mine once told me this story of how he went into Target and picked up one of those big bean bag chairs that sell for about 10 bucks. He cut a whole in the side of the bean bag, took a bunch of other stuff that was too big to conceal under his jacket and stuffed it in the chair. He bought the bean bag, then came back a few hours later and got a refund for the bean bag chair because it had a whole in it.

@Slobodan: Using an apostrophe is acceptable when pluralizing an abbreviation (Compact Discs –> CD’s). I do applaud you on your proper use of the semicolon, however; it’s rare to see that pulled off in a blog comment.

@Zilla: This whole post pretty much sums up why I don’t shop at Best Buy, Circuit City or any of those other warehouse-sized retail outlets. I hate being treated like a criminal just for walking into a store.

What is it with this site and misappropriation of the apostrophe S? The rule is really easy: you don’t use an apostrophe with S plurals. Hence no “DVD’s” or “CD’s” but “CDs” and “DVDs”, and certainly no “Executive Producer’s” (that one I really don’t get). No offense; I like the site, but the anal retentive person in me can’t let this one go.

i was also caught stealing when i was five. i would take my kindergarten classmates’ change from their desks before recess so that i could buy banana fudge bomb pops at lunch. it really is as simple as that.

with perfectly remorseless, calculated premeditation, i was careful never to hit the same kid twice in one month. while they bawled to the teacher, i focused on not getting my lips stuck to my sinful treat.

…my mom found out when i couldn’t explain a suspicious stain on my shirt. then jesus [via my mom] made me return all the money along with apology letters to each of my classmates.
