The old Def Jux days were phenomenal...thanks for depressing me.

*Pops the "Revenge Of The Robots" DVD into his laptop, presses PLAY and sighs*

I saw both ISWYD and None Shall Pass did briefly crack the charts, albeit around 15k their first week.
Aesop Rock is here in CO as I type. Might try to check him in the Republic of Boulder this weekend. One.

I really, really want to hear Murs do hyphy.

And I wouldn't call None Shall Pass or ISWYD underrated...even Entertainment Weekly reprezent. I'd say both got pretty good hype for 2007 releases by Def Jux, the Saddle Creek of hiphop (it stings because you know it's true).

It's nice to see somebody get better with each passing album, instead of going South after their debut...

I've lost track of how many debut albums I own...and now can't stand anything else by the artist.

Funny how that works out.

I saw them open their tour here Philly last month. I thought Rob Sonic looked more like RA the Rugged Man on a 2 week corned beef and milkshake bender. The set was fantastic, even though we had to stand there sweating through 4-5 Rob Sonic tracks. I miss the days of Mr. Lif and Aesop touring together--at least you got to hear "11:35" and joints from "I, Phantom." I'm getting misty-eyed just think of the Def Jux hey day circa 2002. At least Rob Sonic doesn't get in the way like SA Smash.
