JAX, my CityBeat article was part of a “grand tour” theme for our “Real. Best. L.A.” issue. I thought it would be clever to lead the reader on a “tour” of L.A. blogs using hyperlinks/blogrolls, both to fit in with that larger theme and to try and show some kind of sense of a connected community. Then I had to explain what a blogroll was. It wasn’t a very well executed idea.

Anyway, keep doing your thing – I’m a fan.

I went to the Glass House show, and you’re quite right about Wolf Parade. They’re not going away. The new songs are epic (albeit a little sloppy at the moment) and I’m certain the album will be phenomenal. They have much improved since I saw them do their first show. They even seemed to be enjoying themselves this time. Last year’s Wiltern show is one of my favorite shows of all time.
