Philadelphia fans, not just Phillie fans have endured the most pain of any city with four major sports teams.

Plus your reasoning for even liking the Reds is kind of screwey. You weren't born in or have lived in Cincinnati... I may have sympathy (not much but a little) for real Cincinnati fans but you were born in LA. By default you don't even have a heart. All LA fans are shallow front runners anyways.

As a default Phillies fan, it makes me want to pour battery acid down my back when I think that the Phillies, the longest tenured team in one city in sports history, the team with the most losses in all of sports, has 1 less world championship title that than the mothaf*cking FLORIDA MARLINS, a team who could give away free bags of coke in Miami and still (at most) draw 15,000 people a game.

And the Pirates, Royals, D-Rays and Brewers should be eliminated from the sport.

The Phillies are the losingest franchise in professional sports (look it up). No playoffs since 1993. They will finish three games out of the wild card like they do every year. This is worse.

No, we didn’t. We haven’t broken .500 since 1992. I don’t know why I’m all bent out of shape about it…maybe it’s those lingering memories of the 1990 NLCS. We should be consolidating our proletariat forces to make the blood of the Yankee/Red Sox hegemons run like Tony Womack.

Whoadie: You if anyone understands for sure. But I will point out that at least you guys have a nice consistent run in the late 90s. The reds have certainly never won back-to-back-to-back division titles. And you live in PA, where you prolly know other Pirates fans. In LA, people think The Reds are a type of cigarette.

Wade: Dunn is the archetypal red. A good ball player with a serious flaw. See Eric Davis and Ken Griffey, the two most talented players in hisory to be systematically incapable of playing more than 100 games a season. When Dunn hits above .250 I'll be a happy man. But he is cool for sure.

Anon: As for Bronson, he can certainly throw the ball. A good ballplayer for sure. But Goo Goo Dolls and Toad the Wet Sprocket? He needs to stick to hardball.
