No, I think that would make you more Beat or Hippie slav sort of like a Ukranian Jim Morrison taking acid on the rooftops of Garden Grove. At least that’s how I see it.

As for Pep Love, I’m sure he’s decent but how many of his solo cuts can you really name? Souls of Mischief or Del is one thing…but Pep Love? C’mon he is NOT the best member of that clique..

Pep Love is actually a pretty tight MC, J. I like him the most out of Hiero, as a matter of fact. And you’re right … taking a hip hop dance class does not make you hip hop. But being broke and sleepin’ on roof tops I think does, or at least knowing someone who does … so hell yeah, I’m hip hop.

Agreed, any girl that doesn’t think that Stankonia was the first Outkast album is a winner in my book. That’s a conversation I’ve lamentably had to have way too many times. Totally know what you mean, I once dated a girl for a very long time almost exclusively off the fact that she dressed all preppy yet somehow was obsessed with “Liquid Swords.” I was pretty sure that at that pt I had everything figured out.

Couldn’t agree more…but there’s the unusual strain of female that dresses all sorority-like (in the south) and knows a good amount about hip-hop. Okay, by a “good amount,” I mean, “knows the names of all the OutKast albums.” That’s pretty damn hot.

The whole “bumping” concept is a tricky deal. Cuz you’ll look just as dumb bumping in an escalade as you will in a camry. It’s just tough to look cool bumping no matter what. White Black or Asian, you’ll still look like you’re trying too hard. It’s really a no-win situation.
